KARRAS is a mixture from different cultures just like the band´s homebase Berlin.
Shouter Devrim (ex-Disrespect/Devilinside) has his roots in Turkey, guitarist Ela (ex-Shred/Dresh-A-Peel) imigrated from Persia in the late 80ies, bass player Corinna (ex-Acusado) is of Jordanian descent while drummer Sabine (ex-Shred/Dresh-A-Peel) hails from the Ruhr Basin.

KARRAS, founded in 2005, cover the musical grounds between Thrash/Death Metal and Hardcore. The band´s live debut was a support show for Hatesphere at the Knaack Club in Berlin in October 2005.
KARRAS does not appeal to the typical metal clichés neither in terms of appearance nor musically.
In September 2006 the band recorded their first album "The Bright Side of Death" which was produced by Jacob Bredahl (Hatesphere) and released in May 2007 by Maintain Records.

KARRAS shared the stage with international acts like Mnemic, Illdisposed, Madball,
and Ignite as well as national acts like Crushing Caspars, Narziss, and Heaven Shall Burn.

In February 2009 new singer Lars joined the band.

After playing many great shows during the year 2009, the band takes a time-out to work on their second album.

Wie ihre Homebase Berlin ist auch KARRAS ein Mix aus verschiedenen Kulturen.
Sänger Devrim (ex-Disrespect/Devilinside) hat seine Wurzeln in der Türkei, Gitarristin Ela (ex-Shred/Dresh-A-Peel) kam Ende der 80er Jahre aus Persien nach Berlin, Bassistin Corinna (ex-Acusado) ist halb Jordanierin und Drummerin Sabine (ex-Shred/Dresh-A-Peel) kommt ursprünglich aus dem Ruhrgebiet.

Im Februar 2009 verlässt Sänger Devrim die Band. Als neuer Sänger wird Lars engagiert.

Ab September nimmt sich die Band eine Auszeit, um am zweiten Album zu arbeiten.
